Day Two: Monday, July 22 - USS Midway Museum/Seal Tour/Surf Culture 
Breakfast: Breakfast served in a banquet room at the hotel.

Morning: Coach to the Embarcadero.

Prepare yourself for a lifetime memory through an exclusive docent led tour aboard the USS Midway Museum. You'll explore a floating city at sea and relive nearly 50 years of world history aboard the longest-serving Navy aircraft carrier of the 20th century. Exhibits range from the crew's sleeping quarters to a massive galley, engine room, the ship's jail, officer's country, post office, machine shops, and pilots' ready rooms, as well as primary flight control. Especially popular are the roaming museum docents you'll meet throughout the ship. Each is eager to share a personal story, an anecdote, or amazing statistic, adding to your amazement throughout your adventure.

Lunch: Lunch in your choice of venues in historic Little Italy.

Afternoon: Your afternoon will find you back on San Diego Bay with an adventure on the San Diego Seal Tour, which takes you along the scenic bay front by road in an amphibious vehicle, then heads straight into the big bay without missing a beat. On the Seal Tour, every seat is a good one; it’s an open air tour vehicle that allows all guests to enjoy the tour with amazing views. The amphibious vehicles, driven by experienced captains, are specially designed and built to be used on land and water; each one is Coast Guard approved and meets all passenger vehicle and department of transportation requirements to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone on board. Enjoy!

At the conclusion of the tour, the coach will return to the hotel.

Dinner: A social for adults and a social for youngsters will be followed by dinner served in a banquet room assigned by the hotel.

Evening: Two veteran surfers will offer an informative and entertaining introduction to the culture of surfing in Southern California with an inspiring video presentation to whet the appetities of the participants for their surfing experiences in San Diego!

Day Three: Tuesday, July 23 - Mission Bay Aquatic Center - Boogie Boarding/Box Lunch/Surf... 
Mission Bay Aquatic Center - Boogie Boarding/Box Lunch/Surf Lesson/Evening Activity or Free Time

Breakfast: Breakfast in a banquet room at the hotel.

Morning: The coach will depart for Mission Bay Aquatic Center.

Mission Bay Aquatic Center is an invaluable facility for all things nautical. Managed jointly by San Diego State and the University of California San Diego, the expert staff teaches sailing, kayaking, surfing, paddle boarding and a number of other aquatic sports. Our group will receive instruction on the basics of boogie boarding and then, a short walk across Mission Boulevard to Mission Beach will set the stage for enjoying this fun activity in the beautiful Pacific Ocean.

At the conclusion of the activity, participants will return to the Center for lunch.

Lunch: Box Lunch at Mission Bay

Afternoon: More fun in the ocean is in store as the professional and enthusiastic instructors at the Center lead the group back to the beach for a demonstration of how to mount the surf board and rise up to catch the wave. Then it is out in the surf to enjoy this iconic sport. The staff will be in the water with you to point out where the surf breaks and offer assistance to help you enjoy your session.

At the conclusion of the activity, the group will return by coach to the hotel.

Dinner: A social for adults and a social for youngsters will be followed by dinner served in a banquet room assigned by the hotel.

Evening: The evening will be devoted to supervised pool activities for the youngsters and free time for the adults.

Day Four: Wednesday, July 24 - Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institute of Oceanography/Snorkeling or...

Breakfast: Breakfast served in a room assigned by the hotel.

Morning: Coach to the Mission Bay Aquatic Center.

The siren call of the Pacific beckons us back to the beach for more sun, sand, and surf! Mornings are the best time to catch the best waves and the instructors will be in the water with us to point out where the surf breaks are and the optimum point in the wave to catch it and ride it to shore.

At the conclusion of the session, the coach will take the group down to La Jolla Shores.

Lunch: Lunch on your own at one of the many dining venues at La Jolla Shores.

Afternoon: In or on the water is the perfect way to explore the spectacular scenery and coastal formations which make La Jolla Shores a favorite of tourist and locals alike. A certified guide will keep the group together and point out the beauty and fragility of this coastal habitat. If snorkeling is the activity of the day, leopard sharks and shovel nose guitar fish will be the creatures to view. If kayaking is the activity, harbor seals may make their appearance as they bask in the sun on the rocks or dive into the surf to fish. Note that the conditions of the ocean on the day of the visit will determine if the activity is snorkeling or kayaking.

At the conclusion of the activity, the coach will return the group to the hotel.

Dinner: A social for adults and a social for youngsters will be followed by dinner served in a banquet room assigned by the hotel. .

Evening: There will be time for relaxation for the adults and the opportunity for the youth to avail themselves of the heated pool at the hotel.

Morning: Coach to Birch Aquarium

The mission of the Birch Aquarium at Scripps is to provide ocean science education, to interpret Scripps research, and to promote ocean conservation. The Aquarium provides ocean science education through creative exhibits, programs, and activities designed to help people use critical thinking, and to make science relevant to their daily lives. Docents interpret Scripps Institution of Oceanography research, emphasizing the interdisciplinary nature of the science used to study Earth, and inspiring public support of scientific endeavors. The institution promotes conservation through education and research, believing that with increased understanding of the ocean, people will respect and protect the marine environment.

Coach leaves for SOuplantation.

Lunch: Lunch at the Souplantation. Coach leaves for SeaWorld.

Afternoon: SeaWorld is one of the most popular marine parks in the world. SeaWorld San Diego has hosted more than 100 million visitors since its opening in March,1964. The founding principles of education, entertainment, research and conservation make SeaWorld an ideal place to learn about, enjoy and gain an appreciation for some of the oceans most fascinating creatures.

You will take an exclusive Private VIP Expedition Tour. It is called an expedition because this tour takes you on an in-depth, unforgettable, three-hour exploration of SeaWorld. Enjoy a great menu of special privileges including behind-the-scenes access and exclusive animal encounters all in the company of your own personal tour guide. You will also get reserved seats for some of the most popular shows and front-of-the-line access to select rides.

Following the tour, you will have time to experience the rides, shows and events that make SeaWorld so attractive.

Dinner: You will have a dinner stipend which will enable you to have dinner in the Park.

Evening: More fun is on tap for folks of all ages as the Park becomes even more festive as evening draws nigh. The whole Park becomes a kid's paradise with such attractions as Coco Loco Games and Arcade, Shipwreck Rapids, and Journey to Atlantis.

Coach returns the group to the hotel.

Day Six: Friday, July 26 - A Culinary Treat/Youth Activity/Farewell Lunch 
Breakfast: Breakfast served in a banquet room assigned by the hotel.

Morning: Master chefs from San Diego State University Dining Services will offer a highly informative and entertaining hands-on presentation for both the adults and youth. Through display-kitchen type preparation of foods to be sampled by the group, the chefs will expand the culinary knowledge and awaken the taste buds of both young and not so young.

Following the chefs' presentation the youngsters put their final touches on and then present their Musical Review of the Program! This is the fruition of the diligent preparation that has taken place all during the program and the Musical Review is a memorable moment and a fitting conclusion to a week of adventures for the young and the not so young alike, and will be followed by a farewell lunch.

Lunch: Lunch will be served in a banquet room assigned by the hotel.

Checkout is at noon.
