These programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.

For people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.

For hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.

Pingree Park is a beautiful mountain valley. Within this valley is Colorado State University's Pingree Park Campus. The 1,200-acre campus is within sight of Rocky Mountain National Park, the Comanche Peak Wilderness Area, and Roosevelt National Forest.

Course and instructors introductions. The program will feature plenty of time for individual and group instruction. Participants can work at their own pace with the goal of several finished works by the program's end.

Day Two: Wednesday, September 04
- Instruction/Demonstration/Open Studio Time
Breakfast:
Meals served cafeteria style in the Dining Hall.
Morning:
Morning classes with instruction/demonstration. Our instructors will demonstrate different aspects of plein-air painting in the various media. Watch for example a painting demonstration on capturing running streams or still lakes including reflections, or learn the painting components of trees and the mountain landscapes.
Lunch:
Meals served cafeteria style in the Dining Hall.
Afternoon:
Open studio time, indoors or outdoors; late afternoon individual coaching/critiques. Pingree Park offers outstanding and numerous "on location" painting sites. Some participants may choose to paint outdoors taking advantage of the spectacular scenery. Others may choose to photographically capture desired scenes and then work from those photos in the studio. Each day individual and optional group critiques will be held by the instructors to help participants fine tune their work.

Evening:
Each evening, one of the instructors will present a lecture and showing of their portfolio.

Morning classes with instruction/demonstration. This morning the group will travel to a scenic location for the demonstration. The choices will be determined by the group's interests and progress on their work. Our instructors have many years of experience in guiding all levels of painters and their preferred media.
Lunch:
Meals served cafeteria style in the Dining Hall.
Afternoon:
Open studio time, indoors or outdoors; late afternoon coaching/critiques. Participants may take advantage of the open hours of the studio so that they paint at their leisure. Instructors will work again individually with participants as they perfect their technique.
Dinner:
Meals served cafeteria style in the Dining Hall.
Evening:
Each evening, one of the instructors will present a lecture and showing of their portfolio

Afternoon:
Open studio time, indoors or outdoors; late afternoon coaching/critiques. Pingree Park is often visited by moose, deer, and many smaller species of wildlife. Participants may have an opportunity to view and perhaps capture these majestic animals.
Dinner:

Evening:
