The complimentary shuttle will leave the Halifax International Airport at 1:30 pm to make the 4 hour drive to Cabot Shores. Those travelling independently should plan to arrive at Cabot Shores between 3 pm and 6 pm.

Day Two: Wednesday, July 10
- Water & Beach Adventures
Breakfast:
Start the day off with optional Qi Gong, meditation or morning walk followed by Breakfast in Cabot Shores lodge.
Morning:
Meet in Lodge for an orientation of the day. Set out with your guides across the Eagle Feather Ferry onto the Cabot Shores beach. Observe eagle, search the beach for heart shaped rocks and interesting drift wood, learn about seaweed mulching.
Lunch:
Cook-out on the beach, build a fire site using beach rock, collect drift wood for fire
Afternoon:
Walk along the beach for guided beach combing. Start collecting things for your memory box; collect a beach rock to paint. Return to Cabot Shores to relax and enjoy tea and snack. Optional: Laughter Yoga
Dinner:
Dinner in the lodge
Evening:
Journal about your experiences of the day & share what you learned and found that day. Sharing Circle: What’s your family history?

Day Three: Thursday, July 11
- Native Mi'kmaq Immersion -Experience the Local Culture
Breakfast:
Optional Qi Gong, meditation, Nature walk followed by Breakfast in Cabot Shores lodge.
Morning:
Today Elders from the Wagmatcook Band will guide us through traditional ceremonies, crafts, language, drumming and singing. Prepare to be filled with extensive knowledge of the local indigenous people who have so much to offer.
Lunch:
Enjoy soup, salad & a sandwich bar in the lodge
Afternoon:
The Elders will continue to present activities. Later, tea and snack followed by free time.
Dinner:
BBQ Dinner around the fire
Evening:
Stories around the fire (or in the tipi); Journal about your experiences of the day & share.

- Medicine Walk & Church Pond- kayak and canoe
Breakfast:
Start the day with an Optional Qi Gong, mindfulness meditation or nature walk followed by Breakfast in Cabot Shores lodge.
Morning:
Participate in a Medicine Walk with Barbara, open your senses to the natural environment, learn about local flora, identify plants & flowers, collect flowers to press, collect mementos and work on your memory box.
Lunch:
Lunch at Cabot Shores Lodge
Afternoon:
Orientation to the Ceilidh.
Afternoon:
Explore Church Pond by canoes and kayaks (includes instructions for those needing it). Observe a variety of ducks, geese, cormorans, gulls and the occasional bald eagle. After return to Cabot Shores for tea and snack.

Participate in a scavenger hunt & kayak/canoe during free time

Enjoy soup, salad & sandwich bar at the lodge.
Afternoon:
Adventures in Outdoor Cooking -Learn to make pizza dough, prepare pizza toppings; build fire for cooking dinner, bake bread and pizza in outdoor wood-fired oven.
Dinner:
Make your personal pizza in the outdoor wood-fired oven. Pizza Extravaganza!
Evening:
Journal about your day, share what you learned today and during your entire stay. View the “week in review”. Present your memory box to your grandparent or grandchild. Closing Circle

- Recap Adventures of the Week
Breakfast:

Morning:
Free time to walk, pack, kayak or canoe... end of program. For those who wish to take the complimentary shuttle to Halifax Int'l Airport, it departs at 7:30 am.
