Description: The Redwood Motel is tucked among towering trees, tranquil water features, and award winning gardens, in the heart of Grants Pass, Oregon. Newly remodeled and expanded from the ground up, the Redwood Motel boasts a diverse variety of rooms and suites to accommodate the most discriminating of guests.

Room amenities: All rooms are non-smoking. Each room includes: refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, hair dryer, cable TV, iron & ironing board. There are a variety of room types available at this motel. While the majority of participants will be assigned a room with two queen beds, there is the possibility that some may be assigned to a room with a single bed (king or queen). Should this happen, we’ll request an Aerobed be added so there are two beds.

Facility amenities: Amenities include free local phone service, complimentary high-speed Internet, heated pool (seasonal), hot-tub (year-round), fitness center (including stationary bike, treadmill and elliptical machine), coin laundry, vending, public computer workstation, fax, printer and copy service. Typically the pool is open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. In the summer the staff tries to have the pool open earlier so it may be open as early as 7:00 AM. They sometimes stretch the closing time but it must be closed by 10:00 PM due to city ordinance. Adults MUST supervise their grandchild in the pool as there isn’t a lifeguard on duty.

Day One: Sunday, August 11 - Program orientation and meeting your fellow participants. 
Arrive To: Check-in is in the Conference Room of the Redwood Motel in Grants Pass from 3:00-5:00pm. Meet your Group Leaders and fellow participants!

Dinner: After orientation, enjoy dinner with all of your fellow participants at a delicious restaurant in downtown Grants Pass.

Evening: Participate in the program orientation at 5:30pm in the Motel's Conference Room. Your Group Leaders will introduce themselves, and you'll learn all about the fun you'll be having in the days ahead!

Day Two: Monday, August 12 - Hear the 'Rogue River Story' and then have your own river rafting... 
Hear the 'Rogue River Story' and then have your own river rafting adventure!

Breakfast: Enjoy a continental breakfast in the lobby of the Redwood Motel. Breakfast includes coffee, cocoa, juice, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, yogurt, and other treats.

Morning: Load up and head out for a fun and exciting day of rafting on the beautiful Rogue River!

Morning: Meet in the Motel's conference room to hear the 'Rogue River Story' from your instructor Steve, a former park ranger. Learn to identify the flora and fauna of the Rogue River and discover the unique geology of this beautiful, powerful river that cuts across the Coast Range and the Siskiyou National Forest on its way to the Pacific Ocean.

Lunch: Your river guides will provide you with a delicious lunch while you relax by the river.

Afternoon: Continue your rafting trip on the beautiful Rogue River, the perfect combination of incredible geography, sparkling water, sunshine and fresh breezes. You'll see why rafting the Rogue is such a popular activity in Southern Oregon.

Dinner: Enjoy a great meal at another Grants Pass restaurant!

Evening: Wow! Who knew you could get so up-close and personal with wild animals?! A presenter from Wildlife Images will talk with you about the animals of Southern Oregon, and bring along some of their feathered, furry friends for you to meet!

Day Three: Tuesday, August 13 - Explore the beautiful Oregon Caves! 
Breakfast: Enjoy a continental breakfast in the lobby of the Redwood Motel. Breakfast includes coffee, cocoa, juice, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, yogurt, and other treats.

Morning: Travel to the Oregon Caves, enjoying all the beautiful, fascinating scenery along the way! Once you arrive, you'll take a tour through a marble cave, and discover how the geology, fossils, cave life, bats, watershed, old-growth forest, and human history make Oregon Caves significant.

Lunch: Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch surrounded by the Caves!

Afternoon: Spend the afternoon hiking with your Group Leaders, or independently exploring in the Oregon Caves National Monument, recently expanded from 750 to 3,000 acres.

Dinner: Relax after your caving adventure at another great Grants Pass restaurant!

Evening: Return to the Redwood Motel for a relaxing evening of free time. Rumor has it that the Motel pool feels fabulous after a full day of caving, hiking and exploring!

Day Four: Wednesday, August 14 - Swing through the trees! 
Breakfast: Enjoy a continental breakfast in the lobby of the Redwood Motel. Breakfast includes coffee, cocoa, juice, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, yogurt, and other treats.

Morning: Head out to the most unique resort you've ever seen! The Out 'n' About Treehouse Treesort offers all sorts of fun adventures, including the Zip Line through the trees! You'll have the chance to show Tarzan how it's done!

Lunch: Yum! A picnic lunch tastes great under the trees!

Afternoon: The fun continues at the Treesort with a chance to tie-dye your own shirt. Who can make the wildest pattern and craziest colors?

Dinner: Enjoy another delicious dining experience in Grants Pass.

Day Five: Thursday, August 15 - Explore magical, mystical Crater Lake 
Breakfast: Enjoy a continental breakfast in the lobby of the Redwood Motel. Breakfast includes coffee, cocoa, juice, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, yogurt, and other treats.

Morning: Travel to Crater Lake, a magical place that has inspired people for hundreds of years. You'll find a deep, pure lake, sheer cliffs almost two thousand feet high, two picturesque islands, and a place with a very violent volcanic past. Immeasurably beautiful, Crater Lake is an outstanding outdoor laboratory, classroom and playground.

Lunch: Eat your picnic lunch while enjoying one of the most beautiful views in the world!

Afternoon: There are so many great spots to explore at Crater Lake! Hike, learn and play!

Dinner: Travel back to Grants Pass for your farewell dinner at a beautiful spot overlooking the Rogue River.

Day Six: Friday, August 16 - Check-Out
