Love to learn in a small-group setting? This collection of programs has at most 10-24 participants.
See our Small Group programs.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.
Elevation Note
ECCO's elevation is approx. 3,100 ft. On field trip bus may stop at elevation of 8,000 ft.

Day Three: Tuesday, December 03 - Yosemite Valley
Breakfast: Breakfast in Lyles Hall

Morning: Field trip to Yosemite Valley (includes stops to Wawona Tunnel View, Bridalveil Falls and Sentinel Bridge.) Note that the trip to Yosemite Valley is about 1.5 hours over winding roads. It is suggested that those prone to motion sickness bring their preferred medication or remedy.

Lunch: Sack lunch in Yosemite Valley. Depending on your choice of free-time activities following lunch, you may want to allow yourself more time by eating your lunch "on the fly."

Afternoon: After lunch you will have a number of options, which your host will have explained during the “Preparation for Yosemite Field Trip” presentation. Because time in the valley is very limited, you will have to make choices of what you wish to see. Examples: ▪ Walk to the Indian Museum/Visitor Center/Ansel Adams Gallery ▪ Walk to Yosemite Falls ▪ Take the shuttle to the Ahwahnee Hotel ▪ Walk to Mirror Lake or Vernal Falls Bridge (you will have to hurry). ▪ Ride the shuttle around the valley.

Dinner: Dinner in Lyles Dining Hall followed by presentation of certificates of completion.
