Facility amenities: Outdoor pool available the end of May through the beginning of September. Tennis Courts within walking distance at nearby Gettysburg College. Free use of the YWCA indoor pool (1 mile from the hotel) and fitness facility (2.5 miles from the hotel) are available during your stay. Wireless Internet access is available for participants who bring their laptop computers.

Day Two: Saturday, December 07 - Gettysburg National Military Park Visitors Center...
Gettysburg National Military Park Visitors Center/Museum/Living History Presentation

Breakfast: Hotel dining room

Morning: The first thing we'll do is take a fieldtrip to the Gettysburg National Park Visitors Center and Museum. You will have the chance to watch the 22 minute film "A New Birth Of Freedom" and see the newly restored Cyclorama Painting. This will give you a great overview and understanding of the Battle of Gettysburg. There is free time to browse the book store with an outstanding collection of Civil War related books, especially with topics on the actions taken at Gettysburg. See the museum, an extensive collection of artifact's found on the fields of fighting at Gettysburg.

Lunch: Hotel dining room

Afternoon: Board bus for a fieldtrip to the site of the first day's battlefield. Visit the sites of the first day of fighting: McPherson Ridge, Eternal Light Peace Memorial and Barlow's Knoll. Bus will return to hotel. Following a short break walk to the Shriver House Museum for a candle light tour of this 1860's home. A visit to the museum will lend understanding to what the civilians experienced and the events that took place in the small town of Gettysburg.

Day Three: Sunday, December 08 - Second day of Battle/Eisenhower Farm/Evening perf...
Breakfast: Hotel dining room

Morning: Second day of Battle class followed by fieldtrip to the site of the second day of fighting.

Lunch: Lunch is on their own for an opportunity to sample local fare.

Afternoon: Fieldtrip to the Eisenhower Farm to see how they decorated for Christmas.

Dinner: Hotel dining room

Evening: Folk Musician playing Civil War Era music and holiday selections of the period.

Lodging: Historic Gettysburg Hotel

Day Four: Monday, December 09 - Third Day Battle at Gettysburg
Breakfast: Hotel dining room

Morning: Third Day Battle at Gettysburg, class with a field trip to the site of the third day's fighting.

Lunch: Boxed lunch to either take with you or enjoy in the hotel dining room.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
