Day Five: Thursday, August 01 - A visit to Gomez Mill House and a cruise on the H...
Note: Gomez Mill House is the oldest Jewish residence in the US. We will also tour Washington's final Revolutionary War Headquarters. The Hudson River, 315 miles long, flows from north to south. It begins at Lake Tear of the Clouds in the Adirondack Mountains, flows past the state capital at Albany, and forms the boundary between NY City and NJ. Because its current changes four times every day it is also called the "river that flows both ways."

Breakfast: Breakfast is served in the dorm.

Morning: We will tour Gomez Mill House and learn its amazing history. The oldest Jewish residence in North America, the Gomez Mill House was built in 1714 by Luis Moses Gomez, a Sephardic Jew, for his trading operations along the nearby Hudson River. The House's interior has been restored to reflect all of the home's residents.

Lunch: Following lunch we will cruise the beautiful Hudson River. A relaxing couple of hours on what you've been looking at all week from the dorm! The Hudson River is a 315-mile watercourse that flows from north to south. The highest official source is at Lake Tear of the Clouds in the Adirondack Mountains. It flows southward past the state capital at Albany and then eventually forms the boundary between New York City and New Jersey. The Hudson's current changes direction four times every day as ocean tides pulse upriver to the Troy dam so is known as the river that flows both ways.

Dinner: Following dinner we will have a farewell party!
