Program #14870RJ
6 Days | 5 Nights
ACTIVITY LEVEL: Active
While all of our learning adventures offer extraordinary value, our "Best Value" programs were rated by our participants themselves who thought their dollar went particularly far.
EasyFor people looking to exercise their minds more than their bodies. There’s minimal walking and not too many stairs.
ModerateThese programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.
ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Evening: Attend a performance of "Golden Boy." The Daily News says: For rising theater actor Seth Numrich, playing Joe in this Lincoln Center revival has packed some dramatic wallops of déjà vu. “In drama school I got to know the play really well,” says Numrich, who portrayed a smaller role back in his student days at Juilliard. “I fell in love with the play and with Clifford Odets and his work.” The plot revolves around 21-year-old Joe, a New York kid torn between music and boxing as the path to his success. Which road to choose? It's a classic conflict. Joe’s father, an Italian immigrant played Tony Shalhoub, wants his son to pursue playing the violin as his life and career. But Joe is drawn to brawling and the fame and fortune it can bring. His choice brings sweet success -- but only in the short run. Eventually things sour. Joe’s decision “kind of eats him alive and tears him to pieces,” says Tony-winning director Bartlett Sher, whose other Lincoln Center credits include “South Pacific” and Odets’ “Awake and Sing!”
