ActiveFor people who enjoy walking as much as two miles a day, perhaps to explore historic neighborhoods or a nature trail.
Moderately ChallengingFor hardy explorers who enjoy a good physical challenge, spending most of their days on the go.
ChallengingGet ready to keep up with our highest-energy group. These demanding — and rewarding — programs are for seasoned outdoor enthusiasts.

Description: The site of the present day Palm Springs Spa Hotel and Mineral Springs ls located on a Cahuilla Indian hot spring. There was first a rough-planked structure in this location, followed years later by a building containing private bathing cubicles (see photo's in the hotel lobby). Today's spa and hotel is noted throughout the world. Located in downtown Palm Springs, this resort is famous for its natural healing mineral waters, spacious guest rooms and Casino that covers an entire city block. Enjoy the exciting nightlife, great restaurants, quaint shops, boutiques, galleries, pool, and spa. Free airport shuttle for hotel guests. Just blocks to the Palm Springs Art Museum and the Fabulous Palm Springs Follies. The 228-room hotel at Spa Resort offers a quaint, boutique feel to its guests. The earthy tones and clean lines of this historic hotel create a warm, comfortable atmosphere with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The relaxing swimming pool complex features an Olympic size pool, plus two smaller pools brimming with the legendary mineral waters for which the Agua Caliente tribe is known. No visit to Spa Resort or to Palm Springs is complete without the Spa's signature experience. This relaxing therapy combines steam, sauna, eucalyptus inhalation and the power of the Spas very own mineral waters to help remove toxins, increase circulation and reduce muscle tension. This is a contemporary take on what has drawn people from far and wide to this particular hot spring since the late 1800s. For Gaming and Entertainment, the Casino located across the street from the hotel, is the place to go for fun. The action is hot, around the clock. With more than 1,000 slots to choose from, a variety of table games, poker and a beautiful, high-limit room you will not be disappointed. Check out the Cascade Lounge for live music, or dancing.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway constructed in rugged Chino Canyon on the north edge of Palm Springs - about two hours by car from Los Angeles and San Diego - did not just happen. It required foresight, planning, financing and, most of all a vision. For years, it was the dream of a young electrical engineer named Francis F. Crocker to "go up there where it's nice and cool". Be sure to see the film they show. Hours of Operation Tram cars depart at least every half hour from 10 a.m., Monday – Friday; 8 a.m. weekends and holiday periods. Last car up is 8 p.m. with the last car down at 9:45 p.m. The Tramway will be closed for Annual Maintenance in September. 888-515-TRAM (8726) (760) 325-1391
