Morning: Visit Our Lady of the Woods Chapel on Bellarmine campus. Presentation on Thomas Merton by Director of Merton Center in the Center. View Merton Square and Marker in downtown Louisville. Attend Noon Mass at Cathedral (optional).

Afternoon: Presentation on Thomas Merton by Director of Center. Explore the Center.

Evening: Presentation on "Meditation."

Morning: Travel to Bardstown, KY, to visit St. Joseph's Proto-Cathedral and a bookstore that sells Merton books.

Lunch: Lunch at restaurant in Bardstown, KY.

Afternoon: Visit the Abbey of Gethsemani in Trappist, KY. While there, attend the Office of Nones, listen to presentation by a monk who knew Merton (if available), visit Merton gravesite.

Dinner: Dinner at hotel.

Evening: Discuss Merton essay "Day of a Stranger"
