Equipment Requirements
Golf Clubs, Proper Golf Attire, Soft Spike Golf Shoes Comments Rental clubs available at additional charge. Arrangments for rental clubs must be done prior to attending the program. Call the pro shop at 386-756-0040 to make those arrangements. Be sure to tell them you are wtih the Stetson University Road Scholar Program. Tennis shoes are acceptable if you prefer.

Breakfast: In the Plantation Room

Morning: You will start your morning out with a visit to our golf simulator where our golf professionals will analyze and video your swing as a starting point of improving your game. Then you will learn to reaffirm your fundamentals of your swing to achieve the consistency that you desire. How to take your game from the range to the course. "Know your Routine" so you can practice what you play and play what you practice.

Lunch: At course.

Afternoon: Each afternoon you will play nine holes of golf and our pros will travel amongst the groups for more guidance based on your morning instruction and other valuable on course information...

Dinner: In the Plantation Room

Evening: Social time.

Morning: Short Game Power Hour: Chipping, Pitching, and sand shots. Understand that any variety of shots will lower your score. Learn to use your imagination and different clubs to hit from tricky situations including a "flop shot" and "hybrid bump and run".

Lunch: At course.

Afternoon: Each afternoon you will play nine holes of golf and our pros will travel amongst the groups for more guidance based on your morning instruction and other valuable on course information...

Breakfast: In the Plantation Room

Morning: Golf needs a game plan also. Learn "Course Management": how to get out of trouble effectively and stay out. Learn to hit different kinds of shots, i.e. knock down, punch, draw and fade, fairway bunker, and others. Use your imagination and be creative in your club choice. Putting-what does it mean to truly play the 'Pro'-side. Make every 3 footer look like a 'gimme'.

Lunch: At course.

Afternoon: Each afternoon you will play nine holes of golf and our pros will travel amongst the groups for more guidance based on your morning instruction and other valuable on course information...

Dinner: In the Plantation Room

Evening: The Rules of the Game lecture.

Morning: Today we are going to put you back on the simulator to show you the improvements in your swing. Followed by the opportunity to work on what you saw on the simulator, including an open forum where you can ask the pros to show you something you have always wanted to learn but never had the chance.

Lunch: At course.

Afternoon: Each afternoon you will play nine holes of golf and our pros will travel amongst the groups for more guidance based on your morning instruction and other valuable on course information...

Dinner: In the Plantation Room

Evening: Social time.

Lodging: Best Western Plus International Speedway

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day Six: Friday, March 01 -  
Breakfast: In the Plantation Room

Morning: Now it is time to put it all together as you and the pros go out for a complete morning of execution on the course as the pros play with you to watch and evaluate your shots and course management. We may even have a beat the Pro segment if you are up to the challenge and if time allows.

Lunch: Closing lunch, graduation, and departure from the hotel.

Afternoon: Depart
