SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR by Bernard Slade directed by Kyle Fabel featuring David Adkins and Corinna May at The Fitzpatrick Main Stage Previews George and Doris are married, but not to each other. After a passionate chance meeting, the two decide to meet once a year to rekindle their relationship. Encompassing twenty five years of reunions, manners and morals, Tony Nominated and Drama Desk Winning, Same Time, Next Year is a hilarious and touching look at unconventional love and changing times. Founded in 1928, Berkshire Theatre Festival is one of the oldest professional regional theatres in the United States and the longest-running cultural organization in the Berkshires. Now under the helm of Artistic Director and CEO Kate Maguire, BTF presents theatre that matters world premieres, contemporary works, and classics that speak to who we are in our world today. The Main Stage (408 seats), cataloged by the National Register of Historic Places, was originally designed and built by Stanford White as the Stockbridge Casino in 1888. The mission of BTF's second stage, the intimate Unicorn Theatre (99 seats), is to provide a home for emerging artists and new theatrical ideas. BTF's education program, BTF PLAYS!, reaches over 10,000 children annually through school residencies, touring performances, and summer performance training and writing programs. During the summer months BTF opens its doors to over 75 administrative, acting, and technical interns and apprentices. Every effort will be made to also include a pre or post show talk or a meet and greet actors, interns or backstage staff.

PERFORMANCE: Travel by school bus to Williamstown Theatre Festival. THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY Book by Marsha Norman Music and Lyrics by Jason Robert Brown Directed by Bartlett Sher WORLD PREMIERE In 1992, a rural American romance by an unknown author became a literary phenomenon. Millions of readers have been captivated by the simple story of Francesca, a beautiful Italian woman who marries an American soldier to flee war-ravaged Italy. Her new life in Iowa is common until she encounters Robert, a loner and artist, whose photography at National Geographic shields him from commitment and connection. Their three days of flirtation, memories of Naples, food, and laughter inspire a timeless love, and an impossible choice. Lushly transforming the best-selling novel into an intimate musical work for the stage, Marsha Norman and Jason Robert Brown have added new resonance to a lyrical portrait of true love, loss, sacrifice, and devotion. Nestled in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts, the Williamstown Theatre Festival is a celebration of theater that brings together a vast array of artists and offers audiences varied cultural experiences. Every summer, WTF presents classic and new plays on its Main, Nikos and Center Stages, Free Theatre, Late-Night Cabaret, and readings, workshops, and other special events including a program for youngsters in North Adams called the Greylock Theatre Project Every effort will be made to also include a pre or post show talk or a meet and greet actors, interns or backstage staff.

PERFORMANCE:Travel by coach to Weston, Vt to see a matinee performance at Weston Playhouse. 42ND STREET follows small-town girl Peggy Sawyer as she realizes her dream of opening in a big Broadway musical, only to find herself thrust into the lead. With toe-tapping favorites like “We’re In the Money” and “Lullaby of Broadway,” 42nd Street will lift your spirits and bring back fond memories. Music by Harry Warren, Lyrics by Al Dubin Book by Michael Stewart & Mark Bramble Based on the novel by Bradford Ropes “Come and meet those dancing feet!” In 1935, while Franklin D. Roosevelt was coping with the Great Depression, Weston-born architect Raymond Austin was putting the finishing touches on a playhouse that one New York critic would later call "the most beautiful theatre in New England." Weston Playhouse Theatre Company is a not-for-profit organization. Under Ewen, Fort, and Stettler, the Playhouse has redefined its role as a professional regional theatre, expanding its offerings beyond the traditional summer months and creating outreach programs which can serve Southern Vermont audiences on a year-round basis. Thanks to the dedication and generosity of its Board of Directors, Theatre Associates, community volunteers, patrons, company members and alumni, the theatre completed a $2 million capital campaign in 2002. The campaign secures the future of the Weston Playhouse with the establishment of a major endowment, the purchase and renovation of property for artist housing and rehearsal space, and capital improvements to the Playhouse facility including air conditioning and an infrared listening system. With an eye to the future and unparalleled support from its extended family of theatregoers and artists. Every effort will be made to also include a pre or post show talk or a meet and greet actors, interns or backstage staff.

PERFORMANCE: Travel by coach to Pittsfield to see a performance at Barrington Stage Company. MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING Main Stage William Shakespeare Directed by Julianne Boyd The Battle of the Sexes has never been more fun! The dazzling love story between the headstrong Beatrice (Gretchen Egolf) and the confirmed bachelor Benedick (Christopher Innvar) – both always ready to do combat with a “merry war” of witty insults – is set against a darker story of intrigue and deceit as the machinations of Don John (Mark H. Dold), an illegitimate half-brother of the reigning Prince, unfold. At once heartfelt and exhilarating, Much Ado is filled with some of the most brilliant comedic repartee ever written. Barrington Stage Company has become the fastest growing arts venue in Berkshire County, attracting some 45,000 patrons each year, and gaining national recognition for its superior quality productions and comprehensive educational programming Co-founded in 1995 by Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, Barrington Stage has produced several award-winning plays and musicals, beginning with winning the Elliot Norton/Boston Theatre Critics Award in its very first year for The Diary of Anne Frank. Several other BSC productions, including Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill, Three Viewings, A View From The Roof, Ears On a Beatle, Mack and Mabel, South Pacific, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Follies, West Side Story and The Mysteries of Harris Burdick have been named among the top ten productions of the year in many area newspapers leading The Boston Globe to laud BSC as one of the jewels in the state's crown. As an alternative,Every effort will be made to also include a pre or post show talk or a meet and greet actors, interns or backstage staff.
