These programs get you on your feet and include activities such as walking up to a mile in a day through a city and standing in a museum for a few hours.

Afternoon:
Welcome to Macon, Georgia! Check in between 3-4:30 p.m. Road Scholar registration will take place in the lobby. If you are early you could check with the front desk to see if your room is available before 3 p.m.
Dinner:
Dinner is at 5:00 p.m.
Evening:
At 6:30 p.m. we will be going over the week's schedule and having orientation - get to know your facilitator and fellow Road Scholar participants. A local author will be our guest to introduce the week's events and local culture.

Breakfast:
Light Continental Breakfast at the hotel is available beginning at 6:00 a.m. and lasting through 9:30 a.m.
Morning:
Begin your Cherry Blossom adventure with Field Trips to the Hay House, Sidney Lanier Cottage, Cannon Ball House, and enjoy taking in the view of Historic Macon as well as the Cherry Blossom Trail.
Lunch:
Enjoy a delightful lunch at the Neel Reid House, followed by a tour of this Federated Garden Center exhibit home.
Afternoon:
Have an adventure visiting Central City Park - the hub of the Festival - as they celebrate 10 Days of Festival Fun in the park!
Dinner:
Enjoy a delicious meal plus great entertainment through this double treat - Dinner Theatre!!
Evening:
Sit back, relax and enjoy the show - once you finish your meal you can relish the theatre performance.

Journey to the past and witness 10,000 years of Native American Indian heritage at the Ocmulgee National Monument mounds and lodge.

Morning:
We will have a guided exploration of the Old Governor's Mansion in Milledgeville, GA exclusively for Road Scholar participants. The Mansion is designated as a National Historic Landmark.
Lunch:
Enjoy a wide variety of choices from the MAX at Georgia College. During lunch, your choices include a traditional family style menu with plenty of options to choose from. You will also have unlimited access to all of the dining stations, including the made-to-order deli. The MAX proudly features several vegan/vegetarian dining options. In the mood for something different? Wander over to the international line which boasts a constantly changing menu from the world’s best cuisine!
Afternoon:
Take the city excursion! Led by an expert tour-guide, you will visit historic sites in Milledgeville - the Antebellum Capital of the South. Learn about the Old Capital Building, St. Stephen's Church and the Sallie Ellis Davis House.
Dinner:
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Evening:
Prepare yourself for a visit later in the week to the Whistle Stop Cafe by viewing "Fried Green Tomatoes," filmed in Juliette, GA.

Day Five: Thursday, March 21
- Juliette, GA
Breakfast:
Light Continetal Breakfast is served at the hotel.
Morning:
Visit the Historic Jarrell Plantation. Nestled in the red clay hills of Georgia, this cotton plantation was owned by a single family for more than 140 years. It survived Gen. Sherman’s “March to the Sea,” typhoid fever, Reconstruction, the cotton boll weevil, the advent of steam power and a transition from farming to forestry. In 1974, family descendants donated the grounds to establish Jarrell Plantation as a State Historic Site.
Lunch:
Enjoy lunch at the iconic Whistle Stop Cafe.
Afternoon:
Browse around all that charming Juliette has to offer, where the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" was filmed.
Dinner:
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
Evening:
Take in an evening at the Theatre by watching the producation at the Grand Opera House.

Day Six: Friday, March 22

Breakfast:
Light Continental Breakfast will be available from 6:30-9:30 a.m.
Morning:
Individual departures from the hotel with check out no later than 11 a.m.

Participants have the option to take part in a summary of the week and feedback session. The program concludes with this session.
