Afternoon: Program registration in the hotel lobby from 4:00 - 4:15 PM followed immediately by orientation and introductions.

Dinner: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant at 5:15 PM.

Evening: Arizona Rafting Adventures rafting company orientation 7:00 - 8:30 PM where you'll get your dry bags. Final packing of personal gear after meeting.

To Lee's Ferry via Navajo Reservation/ Load Raft & Launch/Raft Colorado River to 1st Camp/An amazing night sky

Breakfast: Deluxe continental breakfast at the hotel to include waffles, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruits, pastries, bagels, cereals, muffins, juices, milk and coffee.

Morning: After breakfast, travel through Cameron and along the Painted Desert, Echo Cliffs and Marble Canyon to Lee's Ferry raft launch point. Board rafts start our journey down John Wesley Powell's "Great Unknown".

Lunch: River lunch on a beach with coldcuts and assorted goodies.

Afternoon: Following a beach lunch, Continue traveling down the Colorado River beginning the fascinating story of Grand Canyon's geology and natural history en route to the first evening's campsite.

Dinner: Another sumptuous meal cooked in the open air. Count on at least one night of dutch oven cooking.

Evening: Help the crew unload the boats and get used to the camp set up, finding your own site to set up your camp. Once camp is set up, crew will prepare a meal. Relax in the evening under the stars.

Morning: Break camp and help load the raft. Rafting downstream with interpretation of geologic, natural and human history anecdotes en route.

Afternoon: After lunch, continue rafting downstream, further into the Grand Canyon, with stops for short side hikes.

Dinner: Freshly prepared meals every night. You may offer to help the crew in prep and clean up. Wonderful fare served up every night in beautiful riverside settings.

Evening: After setting up camp for the evening, enjoy chatting with new friends, take a hike before dinner or wash up in the cold water of the river!

Dinner: Find a spot on the beach to enjoy another delicious and filling meal.

Evening: Enjoy the evening chatting with the group, writing in your journal or looking up from your campspot as the stars begin to pop out.

Continue Your Journey Following the Rhythm of the River/~ Halfway Point on River Odyssey

Morning: Before breaking camp, breakfast by the river. Then float downstream, running rapids, learning how to read the river and stopping for side hikes.

Lunch: River lunch on a beach with coldcuts, peanut butter and assorted goodies.

Afternoon: After lunch, continue rafting downstream, approaching the halfway point of the river's path through the Grand Canyon. Cool off with a river dunk before reboarding boats after lunch. Exploration of side canyons/hikes at the discretion of river guides.

Dinner: Once the crew has set up facilities for the evening, they will prepare dinner.

Evening: Another evening in a different camp with a different view. Aaah, life doesn't get much better than this!

Morning: Gaze in wonder at the Canyon's many geologic sites while scanning the beaches and rocky crags for desert bighorn sheep, mule deer while swallows skitter just above the river's surface in search of rare insects.

Lunch: River lunch on a beach with coldcuts, peanut butter and assorted goodies.

Afternoon: After lunch, more exploration of the Grand Canyon and its side canyons. Engage all your senses - sights, sounds, smells, the sun's heat, the chilling refreshment and power of the river's water - while experiencing the wonders of the Canyon.

Dinner: Sometimes the crew will set out cheese and crackers before the evening meal is prepared.

Evening: After completing the day's rafting, camp will be set up, and dinner prepared.

Evening: Your last night on the river. As much as you look forward to a shower, now is the time to breathe deeply of the Canyon's essence and preserve in your mind the special place you've had a privilege to experience during the last week. Feel the sand between your toes one last time as you drift off to sleep under a star-filled sky...

Raft to Pick Up Point at Diamond Creek/Historic Route 66, Seligman, AZ/Arrive in Flagstaff

Breakfast: By now, you know the drill! "Coffeeeeeeee!"

Morning: After breakfast, raft to Diamond Creek on the Hualapai Reservation and the take out. Unpack and load the bus for the trip back to Flagstaff. Please note: The road from Diamond Creek to Seligman includes 20 miles of dirt road and is often bumpy and rutted. Those with back concerns should request sitting in the front of the bus.

Lunch: "River-style" lunch in Seligman. You won't want to miss the Snow Cap Drive-In, a Route 66 Institutiton. Flush toilet at last!

Afternoon: Travel through the Hualapai Reservation to Route 66. Late afternoon arrival back to "civilization" , hotel check in and a long, hot shower in Flagstaff.

Dinner: Dinner at a local restaurant with your fellow intrepid adventurers!

Evening: Time to recap the trip of a lifetime and plan your next Road Scholar adventure with new friends.
