Afternoon:
You may check-in at the front desk of the hotel anytime after 4:00 pm. Additionally, there will be a Road Scholar sign-in desk in the lobby where you can pick-up final program materials between 4:00 pm. and 4:30 pm. Group orientation begins at 4:30 pm. Please look for the hotel message board inside the elevator where you will find the name of the meeting room where the group will gather. Generally there is not an evening activity on the arrival day however, in some instances, due to a speaker's schedule or a performance, we may have an evening program. Your final information packet which is sent approximately 4 weeks prior to the program start date will advise you if activities are scheduled this evening.

Join us for an interesting lecture to discuss architecture followed by stroll along the Avenue of the Arts (Broad Street) to study the architectural periods of the noted landmarks on the avenue. Enjoy an organ recital at noon at the John Wanamaker store (now Macy's'). The Wanamaker organ is the largest working pipe organ in the world. The distance walked is 4 tenths of a mile.
