Day One: Sunday, July 08 - Orientation and Introductions 
Afternoon: Check-in any time after 4PM at the Kintla Lodge. Orientation at Ed & Mully's (next door to Morning Eagle Lodge) at 5PM.

Dinner: Dinner at Ed & Mully's after orientation.

Evening: Free time to get settled in for the week.

Day Two: Monday, July 09 - Summit 
Breakfast: Breakfast at Ed & Mully's.

Morning: This morning we'll be introduced to the Glacier’s Grandeur program. Next we'll ride aboard the "Glacier Chaser" gondola and chairlift—also known as Big Mountain Express—for a 15-minute scenic ride to the 7000-foot summit. At the top, we'll enjoy fabulous views of Glacier National Park peaks, Whitefish Lake, and the Flathead Valley. At the top, we'll visit the Summit Nature Center, that is cooperatively run by the Flathead National Forest and Whitefish Mountain Resort. Located on the lower level of the Summit House, the Nature Center is a fun and educational experience where we can test our knowledge of plants, our ability to identify animal tracks, and learn how to travel safely in bear country. Depending on the weather of the day, we’ll be led on an informative walk either at the summit or the base of the mountain. (All outdoor activity subject to weather)

Lunch: Lunch at the Summit

Afternoon: This afternoon we'll be led on an informative walk either at the summit or the base of Big Mountain. (All outdoor activity subject to weather)

Dinner: Dinner at Ed & Mully's.

Evening: This evening we'll be treated to a presentation on the fascinating geology of the Crown of the Continent.

Day Three: Tuesday, July 10 - Field Trip to Glacier National Park 
Breakfast: Breakfast at Ed & Mully's.

Morning: After breakfast, we'll depart for our first day in Glacier National Park. Our instructors will lead us through experiences that begin to give us a taste of the park’s pristine forests, alpine meadows, rugged mountains, and spectacular lakes.

Lunch: Sack lunches in the field.

Afternoon: Continuation of all day field trip in Glacier National Park.

Dinner: Dinner at Ed & Mully's

Evening: After dinner we'll have a presentation covering more of the amazing ecosystems and historic cultures of Glacier National Park and the surrounding area.

Day Four: Wednesday, July 11 - Field trip to Glacier National Park 
Breakfast: Breakfast at Ed & Mully's.

Morning: This morning we'll travel to the Two Medicine area of Glacier National Park, one the park?s 6 historic districts. Two Medicine was the first stop on a multi-day horseback ride that brought visitors to the park?s backcountry chalets and hotels. Today the area is one of the more off-the-beaten-path places to enjoy the park.

Lunch: Sack lunch in the field.

Afternoon: After lunch, we'll take a 45 minute boat cruise on the pristine waters of Two Medicine Lake.

Dinner: Dinner at Ed & Mully's.

Evening: Free evening.

Day Five: Thursday, July 12 - Field trip to Glacier National Park 
Breakfast: Breakfast at Ed & Mully's.

Morning: Today we'll enjoy another all- day field trip into Glacier National Park including a drive on the famous Going-to-the-Sun Road. (WEATHER PERMITTING). We will enjoy a third day of instructor lead walks and talks in Glacier National Park where more than a million acres of forests, meadows, lakes, rugged peaks and glacial-carved valleys are preserved. Known to Native Americans as the "Shining Mountains" and the "Backbone of the World", the park?s diverse habitats are home to nearly 70 species of mammals including the grizzly bear, wolverine, gray wolf and lynx. Over 270 species of birds live in or migrate through the park.

Lunch: Sack lunches in the field.

Afternoon: Continuation of all-day field trip.

Day Six: Friday, July 13 - Whitefish Lake Institute 
Breakfast: Breakfast at Ed & Mully's.

Morning: After breakfast we'll join experts from the Whitefish Lake Institute and get a big-picture view of Whitefish Lake and be introduced to the timeline of the area, from its geological formation through today. Scientists will explain the complex food web of the lake, the native and introduced fish species that are found there, and talk about the changes that are brought about by introduced species. And, we'll participate in some guided scientific research of our own.

Lunch: Lunch on-your-own in Whitefish.

Afternoon: This afternoon enjoy some free time in Whitefish. The historic downtown has unique shopping opportunities, numerous art galleries and exhibits, and is very pedestrian friendly. The nearby Whitefish Railway Depot houses the Stumptown Historical Society museum with railroad memorabilia from the turn of the century to today. The1927 Great Northern Railway Depot is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings.

Dinner: We'’ll enjoy our last evening together as we celebrate with our final banquet at Ed & Mully's.

Evening: Closing.

Day Seven: Saturday, July 14 - Departures 
Breakfast: Breakfast at Ed & Mully's.
