Note: Generally flat terrain with sidewalks.

Afternoon: Introductions & Orientation followed by a presentation on Historic Rehoboth – its evolution from Methodist campground to one of the nation’s liveliest coastal playgrounds – capped off by a walking tour (weather permitting).

Dinner: Dinner at a local restaurant

Evening: Free time to enjoy and explore this lovely coastal town.

The Delicious Eastern Shore/Big Fish Seafood Market/Winery Tour/Entertainment

Note: Step climbing required to reach the second floor of the Indian River Life Saving Station.

Breakfast: Hotel restaurant

Morning: Begin the day with an instructor-led presentation on indigenous foods, featuring crabs, terrapin and more. Hear about the lore, legend and influence of the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay on fisheries, watermen, and culinary traditions. Then travel to a local seafood market. Learn about a variety of locally caught shellfish and seafood. Experience an interactive seafood demonstration.

Lunch: Lunch at restaurant associated with the seafood market.

Afternoon: Tour the Indian River Lifesaving Museum at Delaware Seashore State Park. Then take a tour of a local vineyard – complete with wine tasting.

Dinner: Deliciously catered dinner at hotel

Evening: Entertainment by a local band, "The Back Bay Strummers."

Day Three: Wednesday, May 06 - Seafood and Shipwreck Museum Tour/Wine and Food P...
Note: Stair climbing is required to reach the exhibits at the Zwaanendael and Shipwreck Museums and complete the tour of the Fenwick Lighthouse.

Morning: This morning we'll head to the charming and historic town of Lewes, DE where we will tour the University of Delaware’s College of Marine Studies and the Zwaanendael Museum, a showcase for Lewes-area maritime, military, and social history. This museum commemorates the founding of Delaware's first European settlement by the Dutch in 1631, and is housed in a beautifully-maintained building reminiscent of the town hall in Hoorn, the Netherlands.

Lunch: “Seafood through Italian Eyes” Cooking Demonstration and Lunch at Local Restaurantt

Afternoon: This afternoon will involve a guided tour of the DiscoverSea Shipwreck Museum in Fenwick, DE. This museum is an ever-changing exhibit that expands and diversifies with the acquisitions of new artifacts as they are recovered. Their collection of shipwreck and recovered artifacts is one of the largest in the Mid-Atlantic and contains shipwreck artifacts both regional and worldwide.

Dinner: Independent dinner and free evening to explore downtown Rehoboth.
