Day One: Thursday, June 27 - Arrival/Orientation/Empire State Building
Afternoon: Hotel check-in available after 3:00pm. 4:00pm: After checking in at the hotel front desk, come to the meeting room to register with your Program Coordinator and pick up your arrival packet. Programs are planned far in advance. Circumstances have required changes. We appreciate your understanding.

Dinner: 5:00pm: Our first meal is in the colorful Tick Tock Diner, conveniently located off the lobby of the hotel.

Evening: 6:15pm: We begin our orientation to the program and introduce staff and members of the group. We’ll review the schedule and any updates and answer any questions you may have. Following orientation, we will walk to the Empire State Building

Day Two: Friday, June 28 - New York City Transit Museum and Brooklyn Bridge
Breakfast: Continental Breakfast in the hotel Meeting room

Morning: Travel to Brooklyn and visit the New York Transit Museum. The highlight of every child's visit to New York is the subway. This wonderful interactive museum gives the history and more.

Lunch: Lunch provided in Brooklyn Heights

Afternoon: Stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge from Brooklyn to Manhattan with fantastic panoramas of the city.

Dinner: Pizza party in the hotel!

Evening: Learn about the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island from a former Park Ranger assigned to the islands.

Day Three: Saturday, June 29 - Due to Hurricane Sandy, The Statue of Liberty and...
Due to Hurricane Sandy, The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island are closed. We will take a harbor cruise to see them close up and then visit the Intrepid Museum.

Breakfast: In the Tick Tock Diner

Morning: We'll take a harbor cruise to get a close look at the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the bridges to Brooklyn

Lunch: Lunch provided on the Intrepid

Afternoon: Continue your afternoon with a scavenger hunt aboard the USS Intrepid, a dynamic, interactive museum. In 1943, Intrepid was commissioned and served proudly in World War II. She went on to serve as one of the primary recovery vessels for NASA, three tours of duty off Vietnam, and submarine surveillance in the North Atlantic during the Cold War. Today she continues her service as a premiere educational center and a monument. After your Intrepid adventure, visit world famous Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral

Evening: Free time to take in a show or just people watch in the crossroads of the world.

Spend the entire day at the Museum of Natural History and the Rose Center for Earth and Space. Re-live the Night at the Museum or make new discoveries of your own!

Breakfast: American breakfast in the Tick Tock Diner

Morning: Visit the American Museum of Natural History, where you'll be able to visit thousands of exhibits. Learn about things like dinosaurs, ancient civilizations, or how the solar system was formed!

Lunch: Enjoy lunch on your own at the museum

Afternoon: Journey to the Stars with the museum's very own space show! Projected onto a domed screen with state-of-the-art technology, this show is not to be missed. You'll have some more time afterward to fit in a few more exhibits before leaving the museum and view the latest IMax movie.

Dinner: In a neighborhood restaurant

Evening: Have the evening free to do some last-minute exploring before you leave.

Day Six: Tuesday, July 02 - Program Wrap Up, check-out of hotel and depart
Breakfast: Continental breakfast in the hotel meeting room

Morning: Say your farewell and conclude the program with a discussion and re-cap of what you learned about your heritage throughout the week.

Afternoon: Check out is 12 noon or you can store your bags in the hotel for a later departure
