Day Two: Monday, January 28 - Guidelines: A Case Map / 911 Emergency Communications/The Role of the... 
Guidelines: A Case Map / 911 Emergency Communications/The Role of the Police/Live Musical Entertainment

Breakfast: Hotel

Morning: Begin the morning by reviewing the case and establish rules of criminal law. Take a short refreshment break and then continue with the second lecture. Learn how the 911 system works and what happens when our crime is reported. The Education Director at Pinellas County 911 Communications will be our speaker.

Lunch: Campus Dining Room.

Afternoon: With our retired Chief of Police officer, Rick Kistner, learn how the police respond to the scene and the steps they take to secure the area for the forensics team.

Dinner: Campus Dining Room.

Evening: Take a journey into the past with Rick Kistner as he explores 120 years of Sherlock Holmes

Day Three: Tuesday, January 29 - Myth of TV Policing / Forensics/The Role of the Medical Examiner/Film 
Breakfast: Hotel

Morning: Begin the morning with Rick as he delves into the Myth of TV Policing. Take a short refreshment break and then our forensic specialist David Brumfield will take us through the details of investigating our crime scene. Learn about the latest in DNA testing, fingerprint identification, the importance of fiber samples, and more.

Lunch: Campus Dining Room.

Afternoon: What is a Medical Examiner? Why is an investigation necessary? What happens during an investigation? Answers to these and other questions as a member of the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office leads us through this case. After a short break, head downtown for a field trip a local area museum

Dinner: Campus Dining Room.

Evening: Spend the evening with Judge Robert Beach as he describes the Role of the Judge

Role of the Court Reporter /Role of the Jury l/Free afternoon/ Role of the Judge

Breakfast: Center Dining Room.

Morning: What does a court reporter do? Why is s/he there? When is it necessary to have a court reporter? What is that strange machine s/he uses? Learn from our trained court reporter. Take a short refreshment break. Spend the second part of the morning with Judge Robert Beach. He will examine another side of the judicial system - the role of the jury - preparing you for your part of this trial.

Lunch: Hotel

Afternoon: Take a break from the classroom to spend the afternoon exploring the downtown St. Petersburg area. Visit shops, museums and see the sights of our beautiful city.

Dinner: Center Dining Room.

Evening: Judge Robert Beach will help you explore yet another side of the judicial system - the role of the judge - an essential part of any good trial.

Day Five: Thursday, January 31 - The Prosecutor's Game Plan/The Defense/Musical Entertainment 
Breakfast: Hotel

Morning: Spend the morning with a Pinellas County State Attorney as s/he leads you through the State Attorney Office's plan for prosecuting this case. Along the way, learn about the arraignment, charges, pleadings, discovery, evidence, jury selection, how the prosecutors work with the police and more.

Lunch: Campus Dining Room.

Afternoon: Spend the afternoon with our defense attorney as s/he mounts the defense for the accused. Learn his/her game plan.

Dinner: Campus Dining Room.

Evening: Take a break from the program with an evening of musical entertainment from a local musical artist

Day Six: Friday, February 01 - The Jury Deliberates 
Breakfast: Hotel

Morning: This morning, you will be a part of the judicial system. The group will be divided into smaller juries and you will be sequestered for deliberation. Then, having chosen a fore-person for each group, the decision will be presented - guilty or not guilty.

Lunch: Hotel. Program concludes with lunch today.
