Road Scholar collaborated with Participant Media, Takepart.com and Encore.org on The Marigold Ideas for Good Contest, a contest in conjunction with The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, a comedy-drama starring an ensemble cast including Academy Award-winners Judi Dench and Maggie Smith.

From May 2-October 31, thirty $5,000 grants were awarded to contestants who submitted their winning ideas for improving their local communities and the world in six areas:
• Education
• Environment
• Poverty
• Employment
• Human Rights
• Health

Six Grand Prize winners were awarded a Road Scholar program valued at up to $5,000, including round-trip airfare. Learn more about this incredible opportunity at www.takepart.com/marigold.
