SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES - The Program Implementation Manager is responsible for increasing participation in
Road Scholar programs by ensuring quality management and coordination of programs directly operated from the Boston headquarters
office. This role coordinates program submissions through campaign promotion cycles, maintains program and vendor data, and may act as group
leader or other role during the delivery of a program. Will also help coordinate conferences and large group meetings held in Boston. Position
may require limited travel and some weekend/evening responsibilities and will participate in new initiatives or projects as determined by the AVP,
Program Implementation.
PROGRAM PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT
| • | Researches ideas for new programming concepts with an eye for successful, repeat programs |
| • | Prepares annual and campaign specific inventory plans |
| • | Stays current on competitor's offerings |
PROGRAM AND CAMPAIGN COORDINATION AND VENDOR MANAGEMENT
| • | Coordinate and monitor program submissions, ensuring that all campaign deadlines are met. |
| • | Collect, create and coordinate program data from vendors, including Supplemental Program Information (SPI's). |
| • | Routine monitoring of program enrollments in order to make recommendations on the financial viability of program dates. |
| • | Responsible for selection of high quality program vendors and contract negotiation to meet program budget goals |
| • | Work collaboratively and maintain positive overall relationships with vendors, coordinators and Road Scholar staff to create the best programs while ensuring vendors' acceptance of Road Scholar's standards, procedures and new initiatives. Recommend vendor changes when appropriate. |
| • | Responsible for the hiring, training, management and assessment of high-quality, highly evaluated program group leaders. |
| • | Timely communication of program details and other data with all internal and external stakeholders |
| • | Coordinate with Finance to ensure timely financial transactions with vendors |
QUALITY MANAGEMENT
| • | Assess program quality via multi-source review of participant evaluations as well as on-site review |
| • | Collaborate with Program Developers, Program Services, and Participant Services in the investigation of quality issues to ensure correction or elimination of all issues |
| • | Work with necessary contributors to make modifications to programs to ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained |
PROGRAM / MEETINGS / CONFERENCES DELIVERY
| • | Remote and on-site coordination of daily itinerary, making necessary changes for optimum program delivery. |
| • | Responsible for resolution and coordination of emergencies that may arise on a program. |
| • | Responsible for setting up and operating provider conferences and other ad hoc Road Scholar meetings and events. |
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION and COMPETENCIES
| • | Bachelor's Degree required |
| • | Five years in a fast-paced business environment |
| • | Quality driven; accurate; good proofer |
| • | Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills |
| • | Thrives in a constantly changing, collaborative, multi-functional team environment |
| • | Strong concept-to-completion project management skill; follow through |

| • | Polished verbal, written, email/phone communication skill; excellent interpersonal and influencing skills |
| • | Extremely hands-on with systems; comfortable with complex systems and database tools; facility with extracting data to support program analysis |
