Join architect Mark Keane for a hands-on experience as you learn to sketch the iconic UNESCO heritage site, the Taj Mahal. This ivory-white marble mausoleum in Agra, India, was built in 1631 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan for his favorite wife Mumtaz Mahal. More than 40 types of precious and semiprecious stones including pearls, diamonds, emeralds and sapphires change color as the sun ascends and descends down the horizon. "O soul, thou art at rest. Return to the Lord at peace with Him and He at peace with you." During this draw-along online lecture, you’ll learn sketching concepts such as perspective, horizon line, vanishing points, light and shade. To make the most out of this lesson, visit https://www.roadscholar.org/sketching for important resources and details. RECOMMENDED PREPARATION: No drawing experience is necessary.
