drink, do, or use up.
20th ANNIVERSARY
The Academy for Lifelong Learning of Cape Cod, Inc. in Massachusetts
is celebrating its 20th Anniversary Year. The Academy was formed at
Cape Cod Community College to promote an often overlooked resource on
Cape Cod – the skills, wit and wisdom of the retired population.
The program challenges its members to explore new areas of interest
in peer-supported learning groups. It provides them with an opportunity
to maintain intellectual vigor in an educationally supportive environment
while engaging in satisfying social interaction with their peers. A.L.L.
offers over 80 courses in seven locations beyond their home base at
the College. More than 700 members are enrolled in the program. Congratulations
A.L.L.!
15th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED
The Academy for Lifelong Learning in Saratoga Springs, New York is marking
its 15th Anniversary year with the theme of Celebrate Diversity! Carrying
out this theme throughout the year, they will be offering diversity
study groups, as well as three special free and open-to-the-public special
events: a program on Chinese culture in September during New York State
Lifelong Learning Month, and programs featuring the cultures and India
and Ireland in the spring. Each of these special events will focus on
the traditional music, dance, culture and food of a country representative
of the population of their area. They are collaborating with local ethnic
