Ambassador main

The Road Scholar Ambassador Speakers Bureau is staffed by enthusiastic Road Scholar participants who volunteer their time to spread the word about Road Scholar’s enriching educational adventures and the value of lifelong learning.

In addition to making presentations about their Road Scholar experiences to local groups — libraries, retirement communities, affinity groups, etc. — Ambassadors also act as liaisons in their communities to field media requests, staff fairs and conferences, and volunteer on our Day of Discovery programs!

Our Ambassadors are walking testimonials that since 1975, we have provided educational programs of exceptional value that are extraordinarily creative and stimulating.

Since the inception of the Ambassador program, these tireless volunteers have made more than 5,000 presentations and talked to more than 125,000 individuals. We thank them for their dedication to Elderhostel and Road Scholar and our lifelong learning mission.

“Ambassador Dr. Bill Ezell spoke with great wisdom, enthusiasm and sincerity about Road Scholar. The women in our chapter left with materials, information and a renewed excitement for travel and learning. His personal anecdotes and humor testified to the security and depth of Road Scholar, in particular.”
